I really want to add this to my DNF list, but I'm an English teacher and I think that would be embarrassing. Terrible.

It’s so great when a book that affected and moulded your reading experience as a teenager still holds up ten years later. Unpretentious language used to portray a complex and fleshed out character that proved itself to be the birth of the anti-hero that we so often see in literature and film today.

I hate everything about this. The “pick me” girl feminism, the cliché, bland and unoriginal ramblings on millennial / gen z culture, the unfleshed out character and cringeworthy narrative. I don’t think I can finish this which is a first for me.
