Perhaps we don’t live merely to survive. If that were true, no parent would risk their life to save a child, and no firefighter would enter a collapsing building. Maybe, for many people, the meaning of life becomes more valuable than life itself.
But one question keeps staying with me: Do we choose that meaning ourselves, or are we taught from childhood what is worth more than our own lives?
