Colin is 9% done with The Eye of the World (The Wheel of Time, #1)
3 hours into this book (approx. 85 pages) and nothing has happened; Yet, at the same time, so much has happened.

I am both overwhelmed and underwhelmed at the same time.

I am so intrigued. I want to know the story. But man, this book is one long slog.

There is no way his body actually accepts that tooth.

Because I have no self control, instead of finishing one of the the other 6 books I'm currently reading, I've started a 7th.

I think I've figured out why this book has taken so long to finish. It's entirely character driven. So while I thoroughly enjoy it while in reading, after I've put it down there's no urgency to pick it back up again to find out what happens next.

It took me a while to fully understand and emerse myself in the writing style and "spirit" of this book. The way this story is told is magical. Ethereal. True genuine prose. There's this meandering pace towards the conclusion, but I find I don't mind. The way each characters story is woven together makes an incredibly unique story. I have yet to be ahead of the plot, to predict or skim ahead which is incredibly rare.
