I love this whole series, it is one I will return to read again. The characters are rich with personality; and the adventures, lives, and concerns are absorbing.

This was well written but I was disappointed in the ending. I know that we get used to "happy" endings but some shocks are just hard when you find yourself absorbed in the life of your characters.

What does pour past really hold? What connections have been made, out of remembered time? Just what have we left behind with the movement into current "civilization"? This book helps me to look at the questions of today. Just because we can...doesn't mean we should. And just because we think of ourselves as Learned and intelegent, doesn't mean we know it all.
