Man, eff this book, making me stay up till 3 a.m. to read just one more chapter...

The challenge with reading this is that you can never know if you actually did or not.

I've seen the Netflix series and its adaptation for Agatha Christie's Marple (which added the eponymous character into the plot), which were *very* different, so I have only the vaguest idea what the actual story is.

The story is pretty interesting, but holy cow, the narrator is insufferable.

I don't know why I out this off for so long; it's really engaging. Not sure I love the translation work, but overall, really enjoyable so far.

I picked this up randomly and I can't how much I'm enjoying it.

I gotta say, I'm not really enjoying this. Sooooo much exposition.

A lot more boxing than I was expecting.

This is my second time trying to read this book, and I gotta say... I hate it.
It's overlong and ridiculously repetitive. It would be generous to call some of the characters 1 note. Instead off feeling satirical, it comes across more as mean-spirited to me.
I am utterly baffled that this is considered a part of the American canon.
