It is a very subjective book. So far I am feeling very sorry for the author and how uncomfortable she feels. The book is a projection of her feelings on all the other white people. She claims that she can speak for all the western white people, explicitly including Europe with Canada and USA. Well, she is failing. Some white European women got the right to vote well after the black women in the USA.

I don’t enjoy reading this book because it is not engaging in my opinion. The plot is there and it is really complex... but sometimes it gives a lot of details about things outside the plot that are not useful to the story. I am not eager of continuing reading this book, I don’t know if the problem is the story or the author’s writing style.
