Not my cup of tea. I kept reading because I'm stubborn that way. Some very interesting facts that I learned about that time, which I didn't know, so that's good.

Meh, not a page turner, hard to keep me interested. I am a stubborn reader, and once I start a book, I have to finish it.
Just starting to get a little bit of mystery and excitement. Took long enough.
Over half way there, has to get better, right? I'll let you know.

After giving the book some serious consideration, I found once I got into it, it was pretty good. Kept my attention, and the ending threw me for a loop!
Never would've figured it out.
Well written, after all.

Loved this book. It was a fast read for me. I lived a similar situation so I could relate. I felt really close to the characters and their challenges.
