Loving this book about the Civil War. One of Kiana's themes about mixed race characters figuring out how to live when they feel out of place. The same passion and fire as her Hawaiian books. I'm always so drawn into her style of writing!

Just getting started but love the concept. The writer is excellent and very funny.

This is a pretty fun book. I'm really enjoying it.

Wonderful reminder of all the studio players from the Fifties, Sixties, and early Seventies. Knew some, even worked in the studio with a few of these excellent and groundbreaking players.

Sort of fell out of this. I need to get back and finish it.

Currently finished my final edit after proof reading edit and sent it off for final interior design. The Night People, TWLitN print book is going to be ready well before launch date of June 15, it seems. Great!

I kept myself in a book that tends to wander. I love long and immersive books and I can say this one does that. The clever way the author moves us into a new dimension intrigued me but the end the journey felt sterile, too little real depth to the main characters, too many explanations and threads left unexplained.

I liked this for the most part. A bit formulaic in the latter half of the book, saved by the uniqueness of the setting.
