i gave up reviewing each story, they’ve been pretty good, my favorite was quantum by nick medina. i honestly wasn’t impressed by the other 3, they weren’t bad so much as they just didn’t really stick out to me or wow me

wingless by marcie r rendon. more sad than scary, but i suppose they don’t all have to be scary. great use of imagery, i really felt like i could picture everything.

navajos don’t wear elk teeth by conley lyons. not my favorite of the ones i’ve read so far, but i wouldn’t say it’s bad. i think i just wanted a little more from the ending/ the actual horror part of the book

white hills by rebecca roanhorse. well done realistic horror. i think it could have even been a standalone book with the right additions, but i think it works well as a short story at the end of the day. definitely not scary in the typical sense but left me uncomfortable, and i like when a horror story can do that.

first story kushtuka by mathilda zeller is a strong start to the anthology. a lot of suspense and commentary packed in such a short story. really excited for what the other have in store
