Trying an audiobook.

Wish I didn’t get this easily tired when reading a book in the evening. Two chapters in the book and I am already in love with the way Fredrik Backman writes (and Henning Koch translates).

“If you can’t get rid of the bad you have to top it up with more goody stuff” (p8)

Also, the end of chapter two is already breaking my heart a bit

After tonight’s reading, I have noticed I really like this book. At first it felt to much as some kind of diary, mentioning all the things that happened in one’s life. But now I see it is much more than that. My eyes are closing because I am feeling tired, but I can’t wait to read again tomorrow.

Havent been able to read as much as I’d like to lately because of some work assignments. Trying to read at least 10 or 15 minutes every night now. Glad I have some time to read and I cannot wait to keep reading.

It is different from other books I have read. But has some interesting concepts. I really like the saying “dissolving margins”.

Diving in to a new part of her life “adolescence”.

I bought the book last year because a dear friend of mine read it and liked it. So far the prologue really got to me, it is well written and makes me curious. Wondering what will happen next in the book.

I finally have a reading routine which works so far. Even though I feel like I know what is going to happen at the end of the book, I do enjoy it.

Giving audiobooks another try. I have to say I love to listen to audiobooks while cooking. Two years ago I thought it was hard to concentrate on the audiobook, but it is easy while cooking. Going to do this more often.

Also, i do like the story so far. I have seen the movie last year and cant wait to hear all the differences.

I feel like it is obvious what is going to happen. Which make me feel less intrigued. But I do like the “new” magical things that happen such as the library and ghostly hours.

Glad I finally have time to continue this adventure, reading feels more and more relaxing than ever.

This year has been a real rollercoaster so far. From a global pandemic to getting married, getting a house and having a baby dog. Because of the house, and all the work we had to put in it (we are not even finished yet!) I, sadly, havent been able to read at all... Somehow I have to get used to it again, and what way better than a book about compassion, for myself and others.
