I know I'm really old to read this book. But it's so beautiful. It reminds me of a lot of people I know. My mom and dad and my friends and my sisters. And it makes me feel so grateful for having these people. This book is gold. I'm reading it so slow I don't want it to ever end. And I've filled it with highlights and underlines and sticky notes. Taking one chapter at a time every weekend.

It's too painful. I can't read it.

Emma shouldn't butt in Harriet's business although, I did, sort of, agree with her initial about Mr Martin not suitable enough for her friend. She was just looking out for her friend. And Mr Knightley is right in his opinion too in Harriet being better suited for Mr. Martin due to her doubtful parentage. But it still isn't fair. This book is compelling and I'm really excited about it!

The feeling of imprisonment is captured so vividly. The diary entry format makes it feel like I'm in Jonathan shoes. Although, Dracula does not scare me yet. Maybe because I know the jist of the story. Maybe because I had been introduced to vampires in modern stories that take the excitement of the book away. But it's just the beginning. Can't say much yet.

I agree with Elinor about how Marianne will have nothing to talk about to Willoughby if he has te same taste and once they're done with all their subjects of interest, they'll run out of stuff to talk about. I don't think it is entirely necessary for the person you want to be with has to love everything you love. Also, I absolutely hate Mrs. John Dashwood.

I have to put the book down for a few moments and take a break. Because it hits home. Too hard. Like bullseye. Brings back bittersweet memories and embarrassment. Although, in a good way. I feel relieved that there's someone else, even fictional, who has felt the way I have felt. All my life. That I'm not....abnormal. So far, I have loved every thing about Cath because I'm practically her. Almost.

I absolutely love Oshima! The things he says. Damn. He seems fishy but he's my favourite character in the book.

I don't know yet where we're getting at. Kafka's life feels soothing. Living his life through the words gives such peace. At least till now. Nakata's story intrigues me. I don't know what to think of it yet.
