Book 4 theme was definitely "Memento mori" I started to use sticky notes to highlight the parts I liked the most. I will start doing this more often with my physical books.

Lots of good quotes but I see why this book can be unappealing. Lots of rambling but it's the thoughts of an emperor from nearly 2000 years ago, so I get it. This book is more like the Bible, where you come back and re-read parts of it to take lessons.

Gonna attempt to read 10 pages a day of this book and annotate it as well

I'll be honest: I DNFed this book back in 2023. I thought it was fine but I got bored of it. However, my reading abilities and attention span have increased since last time, when I had my pea-sized brain rot dumbass brain (clearly I still need help). THUS, I shall give this book another try...plus the movie comes out next month so why not lol

Started reading this alongside a friend. So far, simple writing but engaging. Feels like a lifetime channel movie put to novel

Also HIGHLY recommend to read along with the audiobook. Harry Lloyd, the actor who played Viserys Targaryen in GoT, does the narration. So entertaining

Just finished the first story, “The Hedge Knight”. That was great. I’m loving Martin’s writing so far
