Rereading! Very good, again.

After a 2 year hiatus, I’m back in. It’s glorious.

A revelation. Every parent should read it, and read it soon.

Guite bring Coleridge to life here — he is more than just the tortured poet trope, he breathes, he repents, he sees his own double-mindedness. I fell in love with “Rime of the Ancient Mariner” just last year, now I love the very Mariner himself (that is, Coleridge).

Everything reminds me of it. Feels like I’m reading it for the first time… like I’ve never really seen it before. For fun, here are Judah’s observations: “you’re always reading that, and you haven’t made it that far.” At a later time, “Why aren’t you reading it out loud?” I responded that I read much faster in my head. He QUIPS “well you should maybe be done by now?” Amazing.

Not sure what you’re reading next advent, but I can tell you it should be this. Full of Chestertonian wit, merriment, and a revival of all that’s good in the hearty enjoyment of the season.
