Off to a great start - meant to read just one story before bed and stayed up late reading three...

A sweet love story, very enjoyable so far

Another really good read from LS-F on the theme of family relationships and secrets. Will be tearing through this one as fast as her first novel, Unravelling.

Ignoring all other books till I've finished this one - completely engrossed!

Wish I could drop everything else to read this to the end straight away - so enjoying it - and the sense of place (beautiful BC countryside in summer) is a tonic for this cold, stormy winter in the UK!

A great start, bringing together interesting characters - feels like the opening to a promising modern drama, with a great sense of place and character. Looking forward to reading the rest of it!

Why have I never read this book before? Great fun, vividly picturing the pirate life plus an untriguing and unusual magic-themed love story. Have already marked the rest of the series "to read" in anticipation of tearing through the lot of them! Perfect holiday reading over this stormy Christmas period.
