Not enjoying but will finish.

The beginning was a good start. The author did a good job of introducing the characters. I am now at the part of the war getting closer. The tempo is slowing a bit, but still interesting.

So far, it’s interesting. I love books on magic so it’s fun, but I’m starting to get introduced to way more characters, and that will start confusing me.

So far cute but 100% predictable.

Yawn yawn yawn. 🥱

Slow start but getting better!

Really enjoying this book so far. It’s suspenseful, intriguing, and thoughtful. I hope the ending is good.

Beginning was typical starter story, but the arrogance was a bit much. I continued and it became more interesting. Halfway through and I must finish.

So far the story has been somewhat interesting. I am getting some of the names of characters mixed up, but I think I’m getting the hang of it. Don’t want to quit now!

Why am I unable to drop books when they’re not enjoyable?

Really interesting listen. I know so little about this world of music and instruments that I am enjoying learning about it. The story is also unique and captivating.

This author and her naming of things. Turtle-y? 🤦🏻‍♀️

Really struggling with this one. As an audiobook, the back and forth interviews are horrible. I’m trying to just get through it as quickly as possible. I was able to renew it so that I could finish it. It’s taking me so long.

So far it’s cute but oh my goodness so predictable. The entire plot is known already. But it’s OK, as it’s still a cute read. I’m enjoying it for its lightheartedness. Still not quite done yet, so I’ll be back to let you know how it turns out!

I’m finding that when I know the subject the authors are referencing in the chapters, I enjoy the material. It’s really hard to relate when I don’t know the references, unfortunately. I get the over sentiment, but it’s more poignant when I am familiar. I’d highly recommend familiarizing yourself with some of the subject content.

Thoroughly enjoying so far. It’s such a cute story so far with funny quips here and there.

I feel I already know what’s going to happen in the story, but I’m hoping to be surprised.

So far it’s OK. I’m having a hard time staying focused, but that may not be at the fault of the book.

So far I’m interested, but I know exactly where it is going. I was listening to The Matrix and decided that I was not able to focus on it very well right now. This is more of what I need right now in listening.

Slow going. The chapters are short, which is great for me, but the content is what is difficult for me because I know nothing about the subject matter they’re covering. A lot of it is comic book or sci-fi references if material I know nothing about, sadly. I wish I knew more! I’m going to keep going, but it will continue to take me awhile.

So far, I’m loving the tone of the writing, and I’m enjoying the perspectives shared. However, I wish I knew more about the subject matter. I am not very familiar with a lot of anime or superhero comics/movies, so I know I am missing a lot.

I know that in reading this, I will need to brace myself for the sadness. But I want to read it so I can have discussions about it.

At this point, I am interested to learn what happens to the Martinelli family.

So far very lighthearted and keeping the interest.

So far I am struggling with this one. I’ve almost given up on it a few times, but I have issues.

There are too many stories, and it’s very hard to keep track of what is happening. I feel pretty lost most of the time and KNOW for a fact that I am missing things, which is very frustrating.

I can’t wait for it to be over.

Loving this! I wasn’t very familiar with Billy Porter, but am truly enjoying learning more about him and his life.

Really cute so far, although it’s pretty obvious what’s going to happen in the book.

Hard to pay attention to — most of the content is already known or pretty much understood about the use of devices. Okay, it’s bad. We gotta find more balance. I think we all know this. It’s just that someone put it down in writing.

Really enjoying it so far! I’m excited to see how it ends.

Was a little hard to get into at first, but it is starting to pick up. We are now trying to see who we can and cannot trust.

So far I’m just learning a little bit about Sam’s mom and the strength and determination she has in fighting for Sam. I’m loving the short short chapters.
