I can already tell this book is a bit dated. And while I was expecting this to be gimmicky I think it’s way too heavy handed. Also very centered around suburban hetero and queer (specifically gay men) culture, which I guess makes sense but makes the book feel a bit more shallow

why have these books been depriving me of the wonderful and hostile interactions between blue and ronan this whole time. theyre amazing

reading this as an audiobook was a mistake. who are all these people?? why are there so many names being mentioned when there's approximately 3 characters who are actively doing something in any given scene?

i'm rereading for a book club :3 the beginning part of the story is still so excellent at bringing nancy’s blossoming queerness and longing to life. the emotions are so real and raw. there are many lines i vividly remembered and anticipated for this reread- and they have been just as satisfying the second time around. i love this book

when i record manga on goodreads i usually only mark down the first volume of a series simply because if i were to add every volume of every manga i've read it would bloat up my lists to a ridiculous degree. even the series i have marked are only a quarter of all the manga i've read lol.

im not a fan of this style of character writing. its trying very hard to be quirky and humorous. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. i had the same issue with anxious people. its just not my taste
