Chapter 2 starts with the line "I can't remember the last time I had a straight person in my home." I immediately loved this book and this author.

By far the best of the stories I’ve read from this collection. It’s really the only one that comes close to actually being a short story. They said, it was not boring but it and I was nothing special.

Detestable characters, writing is funny enough to make it barely readable

On one level, this is a book about a gay son who is abused by his father, both physically and emotionally. First we are told that this is going on. Later, it happens "on stage" in the narrative, but the author seems to flinch.
