I think I hate this book

I mean she doesn’t deserve to received threats but it is like. Super fair that people aren’t happy? She doesn’t specify if it’s a craftsmanship contest but like. Not knowing a character you cosplay and winning a contest? I would also be annoyed

M’y biggest gripe with this book thus far is it continuously separating people who defy gender norms/ are non-binary as like. Being accepted ?? When??? No??? Perhaps this is a thing that has changed and is a thing of academic rhetoric vs layman but like. Idk. It grates me

The Dresser and the Chambermaid by Robin Talley
3.5/5; short and sweet. Very rushed in terms of the romance like. thye were kissing before i even blinked but the story felt complete and self contained

it's weird to be reading something you know you're going to unhaul by the end of it, but i'm still enjoying reading it, i can just feel that i'm not going to care enough to keep it

As much. As the worldbuilding is unique i do absolutely hate it

Just some complaints

* Shorthand of fatness as evil continues to not be great !
* if she got a really bad burn scar on her arm as a child, wouldn’t. She be deformed there since scar tissue doesn’t grow?? I think it might just not. Be described well because. A baby’s arm and a grown woman’s arm are very different sizes and if you burned one. That would force the other to grow weird or need grafts
