Even more horrifying than the first book and much wider in scope

For a book series not of the horror genre, it really is quite horrifying 😭 like oh man... this is a lot...

Having a delightful time reading this
Its like a more adult queer and tumblr version of fantasy books I loved as a child like "Howl's Moving Castle" and "The Hero's Guide to..." series

I am certainly amused
Maybe I do need to read more funny books instead of just sad or dark ones 🤔

The writing is really beautiful. It's also really funny to be reading this and realizing how many stories I've read that certainly took inspiration from this book. I'm not really sure where this book is going yet... kind of surprising to me how little I've been spoiled considering the literary impact of this book.

The fact that this is the 2nd book I'm reading about people going insane in a college based on Bennington College is.... like good lord what was going on there 😭 (another commonality with the books is professors with bad boundaries with students...)

Also mildly hysterical to me how many literary references I understood 😔 that being said I already found myself disagreeing with the professor so...

Reading this part of the story again just feels like self inflicted torture... like yes it has the most powerful and memorable moments but its also a long flashback that just keeps getting more and more awful

Randomly picked this up to reread again and aghhh i miss them 😭 (I say as if they don't live rent free in my head and that I don't compare every other piece of media to them 💀)

A third of these stories are just cautionary tales against ever getting married 💀💀
