Beautifully written story. But I'm really struggling with his brother's obsession with guns. Feels so wrong, especially when he shoots birds just for fun! :( I really dislike Leslie. And Larry is pretty annoying too. I can't help myself thinking how wealthy and ignorant this cute British family was from today's point of view...

Some parts and ideas are captivating, but in general, I'm discouraged by many miraculous rescues of the main character Horza, ridiculous troubles he accidentally gets involved in, too many lengthy fights, overly descriptive passages that actually don't give enough explanation of events, unreadable names that mean nothing, useless characters, and repetition or facts I already know. Tired of men writing for men.
