We’re almost done! One chapter left! I’ve learned so much but I’ve really enjoyed reading this out loud to my son.

Wow! This book was on my TBR for a while and I thought it would be the perfect summer read since it was touted as a that but it is full of one dimensional characters that have incredibly boring lives that all end up on an island together. That is the synopsis of this book. Because really, nothing else of consequence happens that makes this book worth reading. It was so pointless.

Still can’t believe my nine year old picked this book.

Loving this so much! The setting-San Francisco and the Gold Rush with the best love story plus Hollywood in 1929! Can’t finish it tonight though.

Didn’t know this was part of a series; thought it would be a quick Irish read for Saint Patrick’s Day, but still have 2hrs and 45 min remaining.

I really enjoyed The Flat Share by Beth O'Leary but this novel is weirdly complicated and boring.

It’s really amazing how a fictional story can teach us not to blame others for things.

Christina is finished with Good Spirits (Ghosted, #1)
Meh, it was cute until the very end. Wow, I couldn't have imagined the conclusion ending so vainly. The only thing I know about this book when I started reading it was that it is A Christmas Carol reimagined and a romance. The main character, Harriett meets the Ghost of Christmas past and this is their story but despite all the attempts to make this a cute mystique, it fails to converge and lacks a cohesive finale.

Chapter 25 is very interesting as it discusses air rights and underground spaces with respect to urban zoning but I am particularly intrigued by the fact that 1/3 of the Los Angeles library’s restoration and expansion was covered by a donation from a tobacco company. The tobacco company got a large tax deduction in return for the donation.
