Rereading partially as a protest against the new movie—which I refuse to see because any adaptation that refuses to acknowledge Heathcliff’s racial otherness fundamentally misunderstands the story—and partially because work is doing a pizza party to discuss (TL;DR - I love my job and the people deserve better adaptations of gothic novels—also looking at you, Netflix’s Frankenstein).
