How sad for Charlotte.
Everyone knows what loneliness feels like.

How would it feel if all the overwhelming feelings just stop inside? Would it be welcoming or harrowing?

I think Charlotte might be my favorite but I can’t decide yet.

“As if love and horror could not go hand in hand.” I love moments like when I read this line. All the “boring” bits were worth it for this. That is really reading VE Schwab honestly. Takes a long time to get somewhere good on 1st read but she delivers when we get there. This one isn’t over yet though 📖📚🥰

Now it’s getting better & more interesting to me.

I don’t understand how this is a violation of church and state but ok. I’m going to suspend my disbelief. Also why is one person liking CNN & another Fox News in here? What’s going on?

Also, the children are funny, and I like getting to know David as the children do. The children have grown so much! They are so smart, strong and brave just like Arthur seemed in book 1❣️

Easy reading- like a hallmark movie mystery

“No offense to him or anything, but there was always this little annoying voice in the back of my mind that told me all of it was in my head. That I couldn’t possibly see and hear the things I do, even though I have confirmation of it being real nearly every day. There’s always the little kernel of doubt.” p172-173
A little sad for her for this.

I have realized that reading this book is giving time and voice to the harsher realities of living in today’s world which makes me read it slower cause man that is rough. I’m usually just trying to survive the day. But it’s probably also healing cause I’m forced to be face to face with some of it. I’m not sure, but Ill post in future updates, lol.
