The Time of Two: 4.5/5 i liked this too, nice to see their life post The Dark Artifaces. I think this book is doing a good job of setting up The Wicked Powers, its a good refresher on what happened. I wish I remembered how they got engaged

I'd like to know more about her perspective on her feelings about him and their relationship because honestly from what I remember he cheated on her and I don't even know why she'd forgive him. I like that we get the story of their engagement though it's cute

I think maybe this short story was necessary, because I definitely did think that she was the Ic Queen and he was the Frog Guy way before this short story, so I like that Izzy is like that's really offensive to me, why would I not be equally invested? I'd like to see more of them for sure because it does feel like she's out of his league, I'd like to know more about her perspective on her feelings

I appreciated Izzy's perspective on the "I love you I know" situation because I agreed with Simon! I hate that trope, I don't think it's as romantic as people think it is but Izzy made a great point as to why it was in this context. I think it's sweet how she interpreted that, and then they had their own moment at the end, validating what they said, I liked it

City of Broken Hearts: 4.5/5 I really liked it, I thought it was sweet and funny, very much a good throw back to the original series. I'm not a Star Wars fan, but I appreciate The Star Wars analysis because I think it really was key to understanding their relationship. I appreciated Izzy's perspective on the "I love you I know" situation because I agreed with Simon!

Really put into perspective the 'he hates everyone but her' trope. What i I viewed as devotion albeit toxic and unhealthy, is actually kinda worthless: "You had all your Julian’s love, but what was it worth when he was incapable of caring for anyone or anything else?"

Bred in the Bone: 4.5/5 I liked this story, good plot, almost felt like a chapter or two in The Dark Artifaces instead of a short story. The way they discussed love i thought was really cute and deep. Really put into perspective the 'he hates everyone but her' trope. A Surfiet of Annas: 3.5?4? I liked it though was never a huge fan of them together, I enjoyed a slutty Anna more and don't remember feeling like Ari deserved Anna, but I guess they're good here

The Judgement of King Kieran: 2/5 Tbh I don't like this, the writing is making me hate our only throuple, the dialog is weird and unnatural for present day speech, and the mentions of the throuple were kinda horny and ion like it... I was willing to squint and pretend I can buy the live story between Christina and Kieran bc i already have issues with that from the original trilogy but ugh the dialog is even weird. Do

Zachary's Day Out: 4/5. I love this, I love gays.

Who the Wolf Loves: I enjoyed this story, we don't get that much of Luke so I appreciate this insight, he's sweet, and im happy for him and Jocelyn, though idk how she fell for Valentine, she hated him... i'd rec reading this after Luke and Jocelyn get together.

I almost liked this but Will CHOOSING to forget his sister feels SO OUT OF CHARACTER! That's not the man I know... it feels like fic.

The Beautiful Ajatara: 3.25/5 Meh I thought. I mean sweet in that i love how fiercely james loves cordelia. Because the title of the short story has James and Cordelia names in it, I expected them to be the focus and really, it was just mostly Lucie. I mean , it was fine , just not what I expected. I thought that what Cordelia had to tell him was that she was pregnant or something. That would have been cute.

I like this bc i love books about bands for some reason but I have to acknowledge that nothing has happened lol well barely anything. Not sure where the plot is going, not much of a direction imo.

Dr. Grace and Dr. Lokken together would be cute bc they have so much tension but honestly, i really was looking forward to a book with zero romance bc romance is basically all I do. I mean how much romance can there be considering he's 12 light year away but still.

The monster Treila encounters is creepy for sure but what Ser Voyne is witnessing is crazy, a dad offering his bleeding child as sacrifice and his other kids lapping at the blood that drips? 🤢 a woman eating HERSELF?!🤮 its def a horror now just awful omg (I signed up for this😅😂)

I feel like i keep waiting for the plot to happen. Its a tad long-winded, slow paced, and im getting a bit bored. I do feel immersed which is good, and the way its written feels fitting for the time period, I'm just also personally like can we move it along. I keep waiting for the horrors to ensure which I'm sure I'll regret saying rn but it's how I feel, im almost half way and still waiting for thicker plot.

It's a miscommunication trope & I'm upset about it. Also its just bad writing ive said from the JUMP!!!! that the writing is shit. These men DO NOT TALK And idk if that's bc of them being men or the writing (ima say writing bc most of the books like that too) If Ilya was ONCE honest about his mental head space, Shane wouldn't come across as an asshole... in Shane's defense hes also not a mind reader.

Imo I think his diet makes him feel in control to be so self disciplined with his food and hes doing the same thing with their relationship) like I GET IT but your bf is in AGONY and feels like he cant tell u and im having a hard time holding space for Ilya's pain AND Shane's fear

Switching to Shane's POV right after Ilya feeling the complete opposite is like whiplash & is making me not like Shane. I need a break bc I don't wanna resent him bc his fear is so valid; he genuinely doesn't see a way out. He goes "i dont mind waiting to kiss him, I wish we could but I'll be ok, i can wait, its good to have discipline" hes on an insane food diet too, & tbh imo diet is more mental than anything.

I said this after the second guy, but I'll say it again : a man is gonna be a woman's downfall every time. I'm literally rooting for her and I know how this ends , but i'm rooting for her and i'm so mad that she keeps trusting men!
