Cried... And Wow! Reading about the popular teaching of our hearts are wicked and don't trust our emotions, strong faith = placid emotions... followed by this quote:
"Read the Prophets, though, and you won't exactly see accounts of people who were emotionally placid-but you will see a lot of hurricanes of emotion.

I'm relieved and excited with each chapter read, that this is actually a safe and healthy book to share with young women! I get a little nervous these days, looking back at some of the awful things that have been taught as good.

"Was this the right choice? Her heart was a sail catching the wind, but an anchor refused to let it launch."

Made in God's image. Treating others this way, treating ourselves this way. Something I've tried to do, but this one is echoing in my head, challenging me.

Took a few chapters to get attached but am definitely 'in it' now. Especially liked the explanation of baptism as tied to ritual purification, and an inner desire for purity.

I'm loving how clear and simple this is (mostly). And the author's own translation of some passages is great!

"God wants to replace your thinking errors with His truth so that you can believe that you are complete in Him"

I'm loving this. I think it's cool that I'm already doing several lazy genius things, but there's plenty of suggestions to make those easier and lots of other areas I hadn't considered.

So simple and practical. I am loving this and feeling seen!

I'm a little dizzy from the depth of explanation of how he reached conclusions, but I still can't get enough. The fact that he was against equality in the beginning, but in his study to prove a hierarchy, he convinced himself of his error, and that he admits it, are just awesome!

Logical, well reasoned, and very convincing of total amount is equality.

Fascinating! It's readable - understandable, and very clear.

Okay, I signed up for the tour a while ago. I don't remember the synopsis, but I'm excited to dive in. I really think I'm going to like Sabrina!

Well I'm captivated! Drawn right in, even though I have not read any of the rest of the series.

This is so personal! I love the way the author shares her heart and how these verses can be used to fight the lies!

This is so deep, and yet extremely clear and readable!

Well, the first third was painful to read, (as it should be, I suppose) but it's a good thing I have a friend who read ahead and convinced me to keep reading. It's definitely worth it, even if it isn't a 'fun' read the whole time.

We are getting more concrete the further in we go, and less abstract. It's challenging and fun!
