Mr. F shows Professor Sherman around the island and all the houses on it and it's interesting to see how advanced each house is in terms of architecture

Professor Sherman is greeted on the island of Krakatoa and is passively told to not leave the island since there's an abundance of diamond caves on there. This got me wondering about how he escaped because the man who greeted him sounded serious about not leaving the island.

After giving his speech, word got out that Professor Sherman's balloon wasn't as big as another, so the rest of the world quickly lost interest, despite his balloon still being the fastest. This was interesting to me since one second he was the most popular person in the country and the next he was just another normal man.

Professor Sherman flew to the Atlantic Ocean in the span of 3 weeks on a hot air balloon and no one knows how he got there. This news spread around America and the hot air balloon became a phenomenon, but no one really knew about a hot air balloons' function since no news sources had any evidence on Sherman's experience. For this, Sherman is both selfish and loyal for not wanting to tell anyone about his experience.

Megan goes missing and some people suspect that Rachel had something to do with it, including herself. However, Rachel goes to the police to report that she saw Megan having an affair with someone else, which may lead to her missing case.

Rachel's alcoholism has driven Cathy to kick her out of the house. Meanwhile, Megan is having an affair with her therapist and her husband Scott is abusive. It's interesting cause Rachel thinks that Scott and Megan (aka jason and jess) are the perfect couple, despite only knowing them from seeing them on the train, but in reality, their relationship has a lot of problems.

The main character, Rachel, goes into a flashback where she gets a job as a babysitter for her ex-boyfriend's partner's child. She feels miserable having this job and suddenly quits during dinner at their house by lying and saying she found a new job. Now she has to find a job and she believes she can be anything.

The court case proceeded with the questionings of other characters that knew the victim and the rapist but in the end, Kaitlynn Kelly was unhappy with the verdict. Calvin Smith was punished for raping Kaitlynn Kelly but she thinks he got off too easily since he was not expelled or put in jail for what he did.

The hearing of Calvin Smith's testimony happened and his lawyer, Pabst, is doing a good job at convincing the court that Smith is innocent and did not rape Kaitlynn Kelly because according to her, a rapist is a person who forces sexual activity on someone for their own desire, and Smith did it for her pleasure.

"Missoula" by Jon Krakauer begins with the story of a girl named Allison who is raped by her childhood friend. She doesn't know whether to report it or not at first but is influenced when she sees the story of another girl in the school newspaper. Kelsey was also raped by four other members of the football team but they weren't convicted. I just finished reading about another rape that happened to a girl named Kerry.

Fabiola interacts more with her cousins and learns a secret about Donna that the other sisters don't know.

Fabiola arrives at her aunt's home and although she's with family, she feels lonely because she misses her mom.

The three main characters, Kendra, Ian, and PJ, win the raffle for a trip to Puerto Rico even though PJ didn't enter it. They think its the works of a dark entity.

Jean Louise participated in a Maycomb pageant that commemorated the city and she is also noticing a change in Jem. She says he is starting to act more like their father Atticus.

I just passed the part in the book where Mayella is giving her side of the story and what happened the day she was supposedly raped. Atticus is asking her relevant questions.

I just finished chapter 17 and right now, Atticus is trying to show that Mr. Ewell beat up his daughter, Mayella. He's done a pretty good job showing that Mr.Ewell is left handed and could've beaten Mayella since she had a black eye on her right eye.

Currently I'm in a place in the book where Mr. Ewell is testifying against Mr. Heck Tate, who supposedly raped his daughter. Atticus is his attorney and is asking Mr. Heck Tate questions regarding his situation and what he saw.
