I'm not loving this book -- but I really want to because I love the concept. Might need to take a break and come back to it later.

I'm just not into this - it's sweet and imaginative with great life lessons, but also feels a little too plot-less for me right now.

❤️❤️❤️❤️

I wanted more about her gardening philosophy, less drama. This is a great bio, just not what I'm interested in right note

I'm loving this - the brooding on the moors, the mystery around the Inn, the strength of Mary trying to deal with it all.

"Rebecca" was my first Daphne Du Maurier book and I loved it for similar reasons. Then I read My Cousin Rachel, which was meh, and then Hungry Hill, also meh. So I gave up reading her books. But I loved the BBC version of this book and decided to read it. I'm so glad I gave it a chance.

I was gifted this gift Christmas! So excited to own a copy to read at my own pace and annotate.
