Sceptical about this one. Bought it based on ratings but it’s got Booker prize nonsense written all over it(literally) so we’ll see. Gonna really try and engage

Going on my big bike ride and couldn’t finish Osman in time (which is a big hard back). Gonna have to start this on my kindle. I’m sure it won’t be a hardship

Stuck on the train as someone is trespassing on the line. BTP have gone full Benny Hill chasing them around the tracks. Thought I’d get stuck into this cult book that every woman in England seems to have read while I wait for this person to get bored and stop running rings round them

Finished this hours before going on holiday which is very satisfying. Chocka full of cliches this book but, in spite of that, it was actually quite good.

I’m really enjoying this book but it’s giving me the most horrific health anxiety. I’ll plunge on and quell the constant thought that any minor bodily twinge is an aneurysm or tumour

A struggle so far. Thought long and hard in the shower earlier about calling it and DNFing this bad boi. I’m going to persevere though. It’s relatively well written and easy to follow but absolutely nothing has happened yet. Just can’t put a book down when I’ve come this far.

So far, I’m undecided. It’s easy to read but I’m concerned it’s going to be one of these books where nothing happens. No thrills or cliffhangers yet

It’s really long which is quite daunting but it’s well written. Really enjoyed it thus far. Standby for more rip snorting updates x

Interesting so far, some chapters more so than others, depending on the subject e.g. clothing chapter was awful but the travel chapter was interesting.
