I have nothing insightful to add at this point, just wanted to indulge in the irony of posting about the attention economy book on the social media website.

Drink every time Raul recites a full page of poetry from memory after twenty years. Finish it if he does this on the same page as not really understanding, or as Aenea explaining the poetry's relevance later. Finish another one if they have transcendent sex immediately afterwards.

Turquoise Days: gorgeously written. Perhaps just a little... not predictable, necessarily, but definitely not surprising. Like, there's an archetype for this kind of story, and TD is a very, very good execution of it without any subversions, if that makes sense.

Finished Diamond Dogs: what a wild and deeply disturbing ride. Reading before bed was a poor choice: the phrase "high octane nightmare fuel" comes to mind.

I am several examples of successful "Deep Workers" in and so far, no women.

This book is painstakingly researched and incredibly important but... just so disorganised. :(
