This is an excellent devotional. I found it very helpful with my job even though I am not counselor. I found that many of the ideas discussed were applicable to my situation. This is definitely one I will be re-reading.

I read the first of three books in this collection, "The Moritfication of Sin." It was a good practical book about how sin looks in the believer. Owen gave how modification of sin does not look which is very helpful. I was convicted about how often I fell into my own power and thoughts on how to defeat sin. It was encouraging to hear it is not on my own power. instead this comes from Jesus to destory sin.
