I like that Rick stepped away from Greek/Roman mythology

This book keeps hitting me close to home when I least expect it

"But without my phone or my camera I had no way of passing the time. I started humming a song very badly, then laughed at my effort. Maybe I'd just count the holes in the ceiling panels or... I looked around and came up empty. How did people pass the time without cell phones?"

When I saw this quote, I just found it hilarious that she couldn't figure what to do while waiting in a building filled with books. Smh.

So far, I absolutely despise Eadlyn with her self-righteous, selfish and bratty attitude to almost everyone around her just because she is the oldest of her siblings and because she is the heir to the throne.

Winter is really adorable with her kind and childlike personality. Just reading these first few pages, I already have my predictions of how the series ends but I don't want to say in case it is true and it becomes a spoiler :)

This book is turning out to be my favorite in the series. Not just because Rapunzel is favorite fairy tale but also because it's the most intense.

I love reading books that I know will have a budding romance between the main characters. Nothing raunchy just cute and sweet. I also love it when I finally get to that budding romance part of the book and my heart just melts.

This book is so much more better than I expected

This isn't a book I would typically read but I find it captivating, especially with Death being it's own character.

I'm really enjoying reading the friendship between Safi and Iseult. I'm also enjoying the action that I've read so far.

Oh my goodness... Not at all what I expected to be reading in this book and not the emotions I expected to be having either.... T^T

I'm only a few pages in and so far the only girls who have been introduced are Lena, Bee and Carmen. Tibby has only been talked about by the other girls for some reason but I expect I'll find out that reason soon enough.

I feel like I can relate so much more to this book compared to the 1st and 2nd, which is what makes me love this series.

It seems like Cia is going through another form of a test of how well she can really lead. Not just Cia though but I think also her group of allies.

I was wrong that the sequel isn't as filled with tension as the first book. It seems like the book is based on survival of the fittest but for a grade or to impress a university administrator. I can't imagine what life would be like if I had a very challenging education like this.

Not as much tension as The Testing but I still like the book so far

This book is amazing. I can't believe it took me this long to read it.

I have never read a book by Stephen King before so I thought why not for Halloween, especially since he's one of the best authors of horror stories. I only read 16 pages and I can tell that I'm going to be thoroughly terrified of clowns when I finish this book. *shiver*

When reading a really good book for the first time, you just want to keep reading it nonstop but when reading it for a second, third, fourth time, it feels even better than the first because you feel like you can take your time. It's exactly why I included this book in my Halloween month reading.

"In a mad world, only the mad are sane" (pg. 212). As I get closer to the end, the book is getting crazier and creepier with someone getting murdered, another person having episodes of amnesia, threatening notes, and so much more. Even with all these craziness and creepiness, I can't stop reading.

"The bathroom is a disaster area. Though the faucet isn't running, the tub is overflowing with water, like it's being filled from below. The tiles around the tub are all scratched up, as though someone was gripping both sides, hanging on for dear life... But why would a ghost have to beg for her life anyway?"

I like these coming of age books because I get to go down the high school memory lane and easily relate to the characters.

When it first came out, I wanted to devour it so badly but I didn't have time until recently. I'm loving every second of it but I'm definitely taking my time on it, not just because I'm busy with school and work, but also because it's the last one in the MI series. I love the series so much that t's breaking my heart as I get closer to the end.

When I was kid, between late elementary and middle school, I remember people telling me how good this book but I didn't give it a chance. I wasn't too interested in utopian/dystopian worlds but I now regret not reading it then. So far I like it a lot and it makes me want to watch the movie now.
