I have wanted to read this one for a while and yet kept putting it off. I am pretty sure I am going to absolutely love it or totally detest it - no middle ground this time around.

This is definitely interesting so far - Our sweet little submissive is doing a good job of standing up to our two intrepid doms. Ordinarily I would have gotten really upset with Cade when he got mad a couple of times but he did it in such a non-threatening way and Trevor was there (he is definitely the more likable of the two to me so far) so I knew nothing bad was going to happen.

So our two intrepid Doms buy a slave girl, spend the night with her and then the next morning start laying out a strict set of rules. Oh, wait, no... Our two intrepid Doms meet a Bank Manager who just transferred to the city and wanted to have a fun time at a club, spend the night with her and then the next morning start laying out a strict set of rules. Being submissive is one thing but...

You know this is going to be different than Club Mephisto when Court meets the mean, nasty housekeeper and doesn't hire her and buy her a scale.

A lot of Annabel's male protagonists I tend to annoy me at first but Court I instantly liked - probably a bad sign. :)

We had to wait 30 years for that and while it was good it wasn't completely satisfying

I decided to try and tackle another one of these for the New Year. Two interesting things: the sex has gotten way more explicit and there is a real actual BDSM scene involving sensory deprivation (aka a blindfold) which was almost awesome (if it hadn't ended in tears)

After the events in NYC some plain old office politics was a nice way to get us regrounded again

So this NY Weekend is either going to be amazing or a disaster I am pretty sure.

For a long time, I thought Travis might have been judging himself too harshly. At this point I think I can be man enough to admit that I may have been wrong.

If I were doing the elevator pitch for this Cara reminds me of Allie from Giving It up and Travis reminds of Christian from That One Book - but as you might expect, things are a bit more complicated than that

When I write my review, I am seriously considering plagiarizing from Shani Hilton's review of Octavia Butler's Kindred: everyone is disingenuous in the novel, everyone is self-serving, and even if you make it out alive, there is no salvation.

I was really surprised when I found out how old Jane was - I had assumed she was much younger.

And then I was looking for a book to compare this to - I came up with Annabel Joseph's Mercy - Luke shares certain unlikable qualities with Matthew - especially the safeword thing. It also reminds of Safeword: Davenport - Luke's micromanaging tendencies were very Zachish - although Zach waited for the movers to leave.

I am trying to get back on track with this - I love the way Claire beautifully handled things in Texas but I feel like she let Tony get the upper hand a little too easily when she got back
