Finished this book about the US Constitution. Good chapters on Shay's Rebellion and the Northwest Ordinance. I think the author would've been an "anti-rat" based on his views on the Electoral College!

Overall great book. History of the Democratic Party with the Civil War, Segregation, Jim Crow and many other dark chapters in US history.

I enjoyed this book. Beevor weaves Soldier stories into the strategic, operational and tactical level of the operation. Covers the invasion up to the liberation of Paris. He includes the German side of the story.

So far learned about "Old Douglas", Mormons heading West, and frontiersman Ned Beale.

Finished the Africa chapters. Now Dr Floyd is on the moon.
