When Indy gets

I kept getting lost in the timeline and I couldn’t keep straight the dream world vs. the real world. Braswell tends to be long winded and I get lost in the detail.

I could have done without the heavy focus on unhealthy dieting and obsession with weight. Also, uncomfortable with words used to describe Freddy. I understand this book is older and that JF was trying to paint a stereotype with the characters she had using those words but just no. The way she has the characters interacting with Freddy was demeaning as well.

I was getting ready to be mad at the end of this book. But it was fine.

This book was slow moving but I got through it. I don’t particularly care for underworld stories. I feel like I learned more about the cultural understanding of the underworld.

I got a little confused because it was way different than the original instead of just slightly different but I think that makes it better than the others.
