Taking this in chunks over time because at 8231 pages it’s a large body of work and in a few stories some of the attitudes are a bit outdated. Generally the author serves up very competent mysteries with some creative plots and surprisingly contemporary writing. A few dragged a bit more and occasionally there are less than credible devices, but on the whole they’re a little different, intelligent and enjoyable.

6101 pages, great collection of novels and the shorter Montague Egg stories are easily digested and enjoyable. The random shorts at the end are varied but still so original in concept.

Found it unnecessarily coarse and brutal and put off finishing. No longer available on that platform.
