I am about halfway and so uninterested. I just want straightforward prose that I can sink my teeth into! There are maybe 1 or 2 interesting sentences per chapter and then I feel like Backman gets scared off and has to "lighten up" with a joke to finish the chapter. I hate that!!!! DNF

This has a high rating, but I might dnf. Does it get better?

I can tell this won't be a favorite. I don't care about the characters. I'm stopping now because I don't want to read any more.

Stopping when we are supposed to feel sympathy for a person who attempted SA. No point in hate-reading my way through the rest of this mediocre book.

Fascinating information!
Sauropods (Brontosaurus types) were able to grow so large because:
1. Long necks allowed them to reach new sources of food while not moving the rest of their bodies.
2. They had fast metabolism and growth rates.
3. Their efficient lungs allowed them to extract oxygen on inhale and exhale like birds do today.
4. Air sacs in bones made their huge skeletons fairly light and
5. cooled them down.
