A blind psychic! I love the concept:) forced proximity to the guys also forces this badass to start feeling again, opening her heart for friendship, hope and love. Unfortunately you never only get the good things in life so there is fear, anger and frustration as well. Fear for a stalker who understands her gifts, anger for loosing her independence and frustration for the males who test the limits of her patience.

I'm confused.. amarli is supposedly this all powerful representative of Luna. Seems like she has a split personality: when she is amarli she is always an emotional mess but when inspiration strikes (Luna) she is this wise and benevolent leader. We get smacked around the head with a lot of sex and angst, new terms (seriously who and what hunters are is never explained) and nobody is even looking for Dorian. Wtf..

For a long lived Djinn, I feel the FMC does a lot of stupid things... I also find it a shame how she goes from comfortably embedded in human society to completely part of the supernatural: what about Joe and their weekly Sunday lunches? Or her fling with Reilly?

I know I'm finally so close to finish reading this series, I should really continue... however, I'm starting to loose interest. I know it's about monsters centuries old and the writing is portraying that excellent. However, it comes at the cost of relatability with the characters.Too many hidden agenda's, unanswered questions and frustration with how the men are treating Violet suck the joy of the story for me.

I really like how the FMC struggles in protecting her heart. Her fear of being not enough is very realistically described and hits me every time

Of course, she's pregnant... I guess something is wrong with me because I really don't like pregnancy in my books. I'll have to wrestle through the rest of the book, but with 2 more after this I fear the chances of me finishing this series significantly decreased..

Rather than stronger I feel the FMC becomes weaker, more dependant. The guys are holding her back and all this bull around Iris is just annoying. There is no reason for the secrecy... at least not given which makes it hard to accept especially when answers where actually promised.
