I’m soft DNF’ing right now. I’m not hooked on this story at all

have to DNF at 26%.
I think the writing is gorgeous, however it is very fast paced. For a fantasy you need to world build, otherwise the reader is just piecing things together on their own until the author says otherwise; which happened in this A LOT.

I’m sure this will be someone’s cup of tea, sadly, it isn’t mine.

DNF @ 16%. I got this arc from netgalley, but sadly it’s just not for me. The ‘banter’ feels immature considering they’re grown adults, and the ‘history’ between the MMC & FMC feels flat and childish.

DNF at 35%… idk if it’s just me but I can’t read right now🫩🫩🫩🫩 something about this book was boring to me

DNF’d at 32% … absolutely god awful book

So far not impressed.. Annie has unnecessary resentment towards Mac, like she knew when they were 19 that he hated the small town life, now he’s back home she’s like slapping him in the face (literally?) and being nasty? he apologises like 10 times before you get to 50% 🫣 it’s constantly just back and forth, Annie being a dick for no reason and Mac being poorly treated. Annie is by far the WORST FMC

I got an arc of this, I’m so excited!! I cannot wait to jump in 💙🥹
