This is, so far, the book of my dreams. The combination of fantasy elements. The world-building of an alternate version of my own city. Incisive social commentary. The mystery that keeps me glued to the pages. & a love for the academic study of literature and linguistics. I've rarely felt so seen and understood by a novel.
