I just finished Book Three of the King Sorrow novel, and holy goodness! This story is so... magnificent. No one is safe. I don't know if this stays a personal story of our Ka-Tet and this serpent, or if it gets a lot bigger. One third of the book to go, and I have no idea what will happen.

I just finished Book Two within the King Sorrow novel, and this is about as epic as it gets. And I still have half the novel waiting for me!

I'm thinking of creating a shelf called "el guano loco."

I love stuff that feels like being dropped in the dark sea during a tempest. I just so happen to have experienced a lot of stories like this recently, in different media. A good number of the stories feature Eldritch beings, but not necessarily so.

American Elsewhere is shaping up to be a batty addition to this "el guano loco" genre. I'm here for it!

I'm gobsmacked by this story! It is epic to read, and it builds off the previous book in beautiful, unexpected ways. I honestly do not know how this story will end, and I love when an author is able to accomplish something like this.

As befits a story about necromancers in space, this is proving to be a harsh, jarring read. The setting is harsh, the characters are harsh, and even the prose is harsh. I'm having to look up a word on every page. However this seems to serve the story very well as members from each of the houses eventually assemble on the first planet to prepare for their training. I'm glad I chose to continue reading.

It's good. Not great. Disassembled seemed to tell the story so much better.

Great concepts to explore, and it's an easy read. Some clunky transitions and awkward similes & metaphors.
