This book breaks my heart without being sad about it. This is my life under different circumstances.

Having a hard time getting into this one.

Uh oh. I’m only in the intro and I’m already really excited about this book 🤓

This is more interesting than u expected

Bored. I appreciate what the author was trying to do but it’s taking too long to get there. Abandoned. This reminds me of another Pulitzer Prize winning book, Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead that had the worst premise and the worst characters. Somehow I finished that book.

I don’t even know why I’m reading this, it’s not that interesting. But it was “required” before starting the main series even tho I think they came out after it started?! Sam is toast.

This book is so dense and so interesting. I’ve had it out from the library for like 2 months.

Halfway through ch 21

Very violent beginning

Not loving his writing style
