I am just not getting into this story. I should just start all over from the beginning at a future date.

Crash landing a spaceship into the ocean at high speed is not all that different than hitting land. I would expect significant damage, if not total destruction of the spaceship.

I am just not feeling it. It does not seem worth the effort to keep reading. I want to like it, but it ain't happening for me.

Its starting to bug me that the hero detectives in this story are tainting crime scenes left and right. At first I thought it might be critical to the ending, but at this rate it only comes across as a writer not detail oriented enough in the story telling. And I try to pay attention to the details in a murder mystery. How else can I guess the end on the way?

"weighbridges", oh how I love stumbling across these British terms for American items. Perhaps the Reacher character should have just been British from the start?

A bit difficult to read. Mostly narratives appear to be verbatim action reports from pilots of their individual missions. Complete with kill confirmation comments. I assume it to be detail accurate. Some good reference photos.

Completed book 2. I'm only reading in fits and starts between other books or when I don't have a paper copy handy. Book two is different in presentation than one. More of a standard narrative with simultaneously occurring events coming together at the end for the conclusion.

I am at the first of Crimson World: book I, Marines. All written in the first person as a diary. Some good action. An interesting universe is being built. I sometimes find the diary comes across like a droning monotone, but perhaps that is just my imagination.

The U.S. employs a modified passenger 737 as a warship hunter and under 10,000 feet? I'm early in this story and I am having some reservations regarding technical details. Let's hope for the best.

Just flew through Part 1. Important concepts clearly illustrated. Very good outline of the early history of pension creation.

A fascinating tale. Reads like a novel. Now I know more about the radio broadcast of the immortal chicken heart.

Easy to get caught up into the story.

So far, a fun romp in the past. What an unusual concept. I hard not read the first book in the story line (and it dose appear to be independent of tne first book), but I wil now have to put it on my to read list.

The horrors of WWII are pretty graphically told. How did we have the strength?

War is hell.
This is an uncorrected proof. I'm unsure if I am to point out needed edits or not. I was not looking for items needing to be addressed. I'm not looking that closely.

Very slow to start. The pace is starting to pick up.

I am such a geek. I find this so enjoyable. The first hand accounts of the tsunami flooding in Chapter 3 are so vivid. There is an ease to the author's writing that he is able to translate the very technical details into something that most laypersons should find easy to understand, without insulting your intelligence. It is easy to speed through this book.

Really a mystery set in the distant future. Light on the science. I can't say you are missing anything by coming in at the middle of this series.

Flynn has learn the formula for writing a good yarn. Unfortunately, Olympic coverage and the loan to me of some other books will temporarily take me away from this in the middle. I need a good vacation day away so I can get back to my passion for reading.

There could be a bit more character development, but perhaps that would slow down the pace too much? It just seems that the characters suddenly can do more that you can't anticipate.

Proof reading error. Three quarters down the page.. "Will it fad with time...". The word should have been fade.

Finished the first part, The Sword in the Stone. I can see the inspiration for the Disney classic. So far it is a very good fantasy, but I am just not into it right now. I will be putting this away for a while as I move onto other books.

In programming the iPod, you have to make the shuffle feature " less random to make it feel more random."

I liked the tie in to some of the great scientific name in history. Gives me some greater perspective on how their work inter relates.
