Reading this while simultaneously reading things like Evicted by Matthew Desmond show things haven’t changed that much.

I couldn’t stop listening to it. Who can blame Alice for thinking those things when they are all reality for indigenous people in the past and / or present. The audiobook made me feel transported to the mind of the main character. Reading this with a bit of post covid brain fog made the experience even more interesting.
