Nichole E. Koehl is starting The Killer Isn't Alice
I’m not sure how to track my progress in this book. Maybe by which clues I’ve completed? I’m skipping around on those too though.
Start date was June 6th. I thought I’d figured out the killer on the 8th, but I was wrong.
Idk, this book is fun!

I’m always listening to this book. I should just permanently leave it on my “Currently Readling” shelf.

So far, there are two whole chapters missing:
The chapter where Frannie tells her mother that she’s pregnant. That awful chapter where her mom freaks out and screams at her and slaps her. Calls her “bad girl” like she’s a dog.
We’re also missing the chapter where Larry goes to his mother’s place of employment to apologize for not calling when he stayed out all night. It was a short chapter. No big deal.

I’ve listened to and read the unabridged version of this book a hundred times. This time, I’m reading the book as it was originally released back in 1978.
First off, where’s the whole section about the Campion family running away from Project Blue in California? This just starts where they crash into Hapscomb’s gas station!

Nichole E. Koehl is on page 300 of 1050 of The Dark Tower (Dark Tower, #7)
Every year I listen to the Dark Tower series beginning on January 1st. Typically I finish mid-February. I’m behind this year.
Of all the characters to choose from to have lose their legs and have to crawl around or be carried, why did King feel the need to select a Black woman?
Any why didn’t this bother me any of the first 5 years I’ve done this?

Seems like most of the negative reviews about this book have a very similar theme. Let people live their lives.
