The whimsy and cosiness of this book is like a balm to me. And yes, I absolutely missed Wendell Bambleby, who is somehow even more dear to me in this book.

Enjoying this more than I thought I would even though it's quite predictable and corny - it's just so fast paced that it's easy to read.

Also, the main POV switching from Scarlet to Donatella is a welcome change, even though Tella is so ridiculously reckless it's kind of absurd.

This game of cat and mouse, or mouse and cat, or straight up mouse and mouse is SO TIRING and feels so pointless. But it's the whole ass plot and I can't for the life of me fathom WHY.

I am clearly a minority here though, cause this book has such good reviews 🙈
