Definitely check trigger warnings and be prepared to be slapped in the face with the cold hard truth - kids can be and often are cruel beyond measure. Bullying in Japan in particular is heavily engrained in the school culture. Many parts of Japanese culture make me proud, but some do make me angry and sad :( I’m hoping there’s more support available for kids experiencing this now
