An easy read so far--fast paced with short chapters and an intriguing mystery

Good, captivating start. Interweaving the account from 1944 makes me think of connections to The White Hotel.

I'm glad my instructor warned me about the complaints people commonly make about this novel. With the right expectations, it's certainly not bad.

After spending so long in 1Q84, the change of pace is jarring. So much has happened in 66 pages! So many characters with fascinating backstories have been introduced! There are probably 66 pages worth of descriptions of people cooking meals in 1Q84.

The plot is picking up pace

Finally have time to finish up some reading.
