Finally getting interesting around the like 70% mark. Mainly it started so slowly, then made me angry, now I’m wondering why there was no trigger warning in this book.

Thoughts as I read: both of these books spend more time describing dreams than character motivations. Still makes no sense why Day ever targeted high profile places in the past. Most of his motivation had been less about anti-republic and more his/his family’s survival. So going after big targets doesn’t make any sense.
