This is a rather dense (in a good way) account of research on choice.

The first chapter deals with the importance of choice for one's survival and life expectancy, both in the extreme scenarios like being stranded on a boat in open ocean, and in daily life such as in a job. For example, having little choince in one's work can lead to heightened blood pressure and increase of risk for coronary diseases.

An amazing book which was like a primer on medical science for me.

One thing that would improve the experience for me would be exercise section after each chapter, could be even in a form of a test.
