I really love how Rebecca Kuang can write so many different narrative styles, and I was so excited to try Katabasis when I heard the premise. Yet, I just cannot get into this book. It's very intellectual, which is not even my problem with it--I just find it too focused on narration rather than story telling. I don't look forward to picking it up.
So, for now, I have to pause this book @ 42%.
